Cynthia Edralin said she will have some copies of her dessert cookbook (really good stuff in here) available at the MS Walk next Saturday starting at 7:30 a.m. at the Kukui Grove Shopping Center. This features a lot of personal dessert recipes from a lot of well-known Kaua‘i people and is available as a fundraiser for MS. But you gotta take in the walk to get a copy.
Speaking of more goodies, Karin Panui just dropped off a bunch of manapua bags (is that different from the potato bags?) and other goodies for the Kodomo no Hi fundraiser for the Lihu‘e Hongwanji Preschool’s April 26 event. Mother’s Day is right around the corner so the Panui hand-made items fit the bill.
Shelly Gerardo said the Troy Barboza Memorial Run is also coming up April 18 along with the Special Olympics field day, so how do we balance everything? Add to that, Larry Feinstein said the annual Kaua‘i Farm Bureau Garden Fair is that same day at the Kaua‘i Community College campus.
Mel Bacio said the annual KCC Gala is sold out (the last few tickets sold this week) so now, there’s just the wait list for the April 17 event featuring chefs Alan Wong and D.K. Kodama.
OK, ‘nuff said… it’s off to chase the Easter Bunny.
Happy Easter, Kaua‘i! Stay safe!
