County officials Tuesday identified as Clayton Jensen the motorcyclist injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Hanama‘ulu.
According to Mary Daubert, county public information officer, Jensen remains in stable condition at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu.
Jensen suffered head injuries when he rear-ended a van that was making a left turn off Kuhio Highway onto Laulima Street. Both vehicles were heading in the Lihu‘e-bound direction at the time of the accident.
The driver of the van was not injured.
The Kaua‘i Police Department investigation into the accident is continuing, and at press time Tuesday it had not been determined whether speed or alcohol were contributing factors.
