Donna Maria Gonsalves of Stagecoach, Nev., died May 11, 2009, at Tahoe Pacific Hospital at age 61. Born March 24, 1948, in Kaua‘i, she worked as a bookkeeper for private businesses.
She was preceded in death by parents Margaret Nunes Olshefski and John Nunes; granddaughter Amber Koko; in-laws David Victorino Sr., William Souza and Joseph Gonsalves Sr.; and mother-in-law Adeline Perreira and father-in-law Joseph Perreira.
She is survived by husband Richard John Gonsalves Sr.; children Deanna Arakaki (Chubby Salvacion), Donna (Tony) Silva, DelaMarie Barino (Terry Martinez), Richard (Dennise) Gonsalves Jr., Desiree Mae (Patrick) Koko stepdaughter Nalei (Norman) Gomes; son-in-law Almrick Barino; sisters Priscilla (Harvey) Garcia, Jennifer (Joseph) Daos and Louise (Kenneth) Santos; in-laws Rose Victorino, Randy Gonsalves, Angie Souza, Wayne (Debbie) Perreira, Brenda (Ernest) Moniz and Godfrey (Marilyn) Perreira; 24 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, at Immaculate Conception Church; Mass at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Gonsalves family with arrangements.
Marc Ikehara
Marc M. Ikehara of Wailua Homesteads died May 15, 2009, in his home at age 53. Born October 2, 1956, in Lihu‘e, he was an agent for Hawaiian Airlines.
He is survived by mother Yukiko Ikehara, brothers Lyle Ikehara of Kapaa, Guy (Karen) Ikehara of Mililani, numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation 3-4 p.m. on Friday, May 22, at Kapa‘a Jodo Mission; Service at 4 p.m.
Aloha attire is suggested and flowers may be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, LTD.
