WAILUA — Four 15-year-old Kapa‘a teenagers — two females and two males — were taken to Wilcox Memorial Hospital after a one-car crash early Saturday morning, county officials said Sunday.
All four teens were taken to Wilcox. Everyone except for one female was treated and released. The female was transferred to The Queen’s Medical Center on O‘ahu for further treatment, a news release states.
Her current condition was unknown at press time.
The teenagers were traveling northbound in a Jeep Cherokee at around 1:50 a.m. on Leho Drive in the vicinity of the Aloha Beach Resort when the unlicensed male driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a coconut tree.
According to police, alcohol appears to be a factor in this incident.
The release did not say who owned the Jeep.
