It was very tempting to wear it to the Kaua‘i Stage Race, but because no one gave us too much advance info (even John didn’t know much about it), it was the old “H” cap for protection from the sun.
Lloyd Fujimoto didn’t have that problem at the Criterium…it rained. It even rained at the Port Allen Fishing Derby. But Lloyd got some good photos in the rain.
Speaking of photos, was nice hearing from David Allio who is currently in Las Vegas doing all those drag race photos there (his opening page is kauaiworld.com), but he doesn’t miss a Kaua‘i beat.
For a local style reunion (Jeanette Burnz was at Wal-Mart), try lunching at Bar-B-Que Inn (watch out for Sharron Weber who got the No. 1 parking spot so she could get her camera).
Sharon Sahara, Howard Yamaguchi, Ted Chihara, and many more (Jessie Fukushima has a great deal on a Kapahi property). That was a nice way to celebrate Barbara Bloemke (Lights on Rice parade coming Dec. 4!) getting her driving priveleges back! Too bad Bev Pang is on the Mainland at a workshop.
OK, time to check out Mark Ozaki and the K-PAL flag footballers (only one more weekend after this weekend) at the North Vidinha fields.
