LIHU‘E — Registration forms for the Speed and Quickness football clinics are now online, states a release from the county’s anti-drug office.
There is no charge to attend the three-day series of clinics that starts Monday morning and is headed by the University of Hawai‘i head football coach Greg McMackin and his staff.
The completed forms need to be signed by a parent, or legal guardian, and can be turned in at the registration desk at Vidinha Stadium an hour before each clinic starts.
There will be two clinics each day — one running from 8 to 9 a.m. for young athletes between 5 to 12 years old, and another from 9:30 to 11 a.m. for athletes 13 years and older.
During the clinic, young athletes will have the opportunity to work with McMackin, associate head coach Rich Miano, associate head coach George Lumpkin, defensive coordinator Cal Lee, defensive line coach Dave Aranda, running back coach Brian Smith, offensive line coach Gordy Shaw, wide receiver coach Craig Stutzman, linebacker coach Mike Smith, strength and conditioning coach Mel DeLaura, and personnel director Tony Tuioti.
Colt Brennan, former University of Hawai‘i standout quarterback, could make an appearance, the release states.
To download the registration form, visit the county’s Web site at www.kauai.gov/antidrug. The anti drug office reminds participants that the form must be signed by a parent, or legal guardian.
