LIHU‘E — As part of its Water Plan 2020, the county Department of Water will be replacing old pipeline in Lihu‘e Town on the south side of Rice Street from Umi to Kalena streets, a county news release states.
The work will take place from Sept. 1 to April 19 of next year.
A public information meeting to discuss the pipeline replacement project is set for Aug. 24 at the Lihu‘e Christian Church, starting at 6 p.m.
Representatives of Cushnie Construction Co. Inc., who was awarded the contract for the project, will present the scope of work and estimated time schedule for the project, as well as answer questions.
Department of Water personnel will also be on hand.
Affected residents and businesses should have received hand delivered notices of this meeting from Cushnie Construction Co. Inc.
