Patricia Bergeron
Patricia Ann Bergeron of Kilauea died on July 23, 2009, at her home at age 51. Born on Oct. 4, 1957, in Worcester, Mass., she was a vacation rental agent with Bali Hai Realty.
She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Bergeron.
She is survived by her father Kenneth Bergeron Sr. of Marstons Mills, Mass.; daughter Tawn’e Bergeron Asing of Kilauea; brothers David (Roxie) Bergeron of Los Lunas, N.M., Kenneth Bergeron Jr. of Sebastion, Fla.; sisters Jo-Ann Bergeron of Marstons Mills, Mass., Sandra (Tom) Murphy of West Yarmouth, Mass., Betsy (Nick) Nicholson of Kilauea; hanai mother Irene Asing and hanai sister Nani Marston; numerous nieces and grandnephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 2, at Black Pot Beach.
Casual attire suggested. Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Bergeron family with arrangements.
Rodger Parks
Rodger Parks of Lihu‘e died July 24, 2009, at Straub Hospital at age 55. Born in Inglewood, Calif., he was the owner of Gold and Silver Trading Co. in Lihu‘e.
He was preceded in death by his son David.
He is survived by his wife Sigred Parks and children Heather, Amy and James.
Service information will be announced at a later date.

Kikue Yama
Kikue Kay Yama of Lihu‘e died July 23, 2009, at the Regency at Puakea at age 95. Born on Sept. 18, 1913, in Okinawa, she retired as an airport greeter for the State of Hawai‘i’s Visitor’s Information Bureau.
She was preceded in dead by her husband Toshiharu Yama; brothers Shigeru Tamayose and Minoru Tamayose.
She is survived by her daughter Karen (Greg) Moberg of Rochester, N.Y.; son Eric (Lauri) Yama of Lihu‘e; brothers George Tamayose of California and Wallace (Amy) Tamayose of Washington; sister Florence Abernathy of Florida; grandchildren Emily (Dirk) Robinson, Laura (Brian) Lavoie, Jennifer Moberg, David Moberg, Lauren Yama and Kimberly Yama; great-grandchildren Micah and Shiloh Robinson.
Visitation from 10-11 a.m., service at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Aug. 8, at Lihu‘e Baptist Church. Casual attire is suggested and the family requests flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by the Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Sakuni Kanagawa
Sakuni Kanagawa of Honolulu died July 23, 2009, at age 77. Born on Aug. 11, 1931, in ‘Ele‘ele, Kaua‘i, he was a retired M. Nakai Repair Service repairman.
He is survived by his sons Clint (Diana) Kanagawa of Honolulu, Cory Kanagawa of Honolulu; brother Donald Kanagawa of Honolulu; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; sisters Hisae (Seichi) Akagi of Kilauea and Asako Nakata of ‘Ele‘ele.
Visitation from 5 p.m., service at 6 p.m., on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. Aloha attire is suggested and the family requests flowers be omitted.
Goro Hokushin
Goro Hokushin of Lihu‘e died on July 25, 2009, at Hale Kapuna Heritage Home at age 90. Born on April 4, 1919, in Kapa‘a, he retired as a carpenter with Kaua‘i Builders.
He was preceded in death by his wife Grace Hokushin and son Paul Hokushin.
He is survived by his sons Randy (Monica) Hokushin of Pupukea, Wayne (Yvonne) Hokushin of Lihue; granddaughter Leah (Robert) Hokushin of Pearl City; great-grandchildren Zion and Tiana; sister Patricia (Bernie) Trudeau of California; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held. Family requests no Koden.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Hokushin family with arrangements.
Abraham Pau
Abraham “Rocky” Kahelelani Pau of Koloa died on July 20, 2009, at Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born on Feb. 12, 1956, in Hau‘ula, O‘ahu, he was a musician.
He is survived by his wife Faith Pau; son Keoni (Deeann) Pau; daughters Kainoa (Jared) Pau and Kekailani Pau; grandchildren Zachariah, Ku‘uipo and Ke‘alohi; hanai children S. Ikaika (Lynsey) Okamura and Wailani Okamura; brother Jeff Pau; sisters Ray Cartwright, Gwen Balino, Val Manu, Carolyn “Snookie” Pau; numerous uncles, aunties, nephews and nieces.
Visitation from 9-10:45 a.m., service at 11 a.m., lunch to follow, on Aug. 8, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Burial will be private.
