LIHU‘E — A slippery Christopher Allen Bond, who evaded Kaua‘i Police Department officers who wished to speak to him about alleged theft from a Kaua‘i Chevron gas station he managed, tops the list of five most wanted Kauaians this week, according to information from the Kaua‘i Police Department.
According to an earlier county press release, Bond had been picked up by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Ohio, and was awaiting extradition.
Officers with KPD said via e-mail Thursday that Bond appeared before a judge in Ohio, told the judge he was returning to Kaua‘i to turn himself in, and the judge released him. Bond hasn’t turned himself in yet, so is still wanted here.
He is accused of first-degree theft for allegedly stealing $34,000 in cash and falsifying 43 business records. Bond, 24, is 6 feet 4 inches tall, weighing 165 pounds, is white, with gray eyes and brown hair, and a last known local address in Koloa. His bail is $50,000.
A man wanted for abuse of family or household members is also on the most wanted list. He is wanted on a warrant of arrest for disorderly conduct, third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug, and unlawful use of or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia. His bail is $2,000.
Joshua Akamu Josiah, 30, is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 190 pounds, is Native Hawaiian with black hair and brown eyes and a mustache, with a last known address in Kapa‘a.
