A surfer in the foreground watches as another gets a long ride to the right on Saturday near the pier at Hanalei Bay. A swell that effected the north and west sides of the island brought waves with 20-foot faces on Friday, but much of the big stuff died down enough Saturday to allow many surfers into the water. Waves were hitting the North Shore at about three-to-four feet. A stand-up paddler and a surfer each get a ride during a solid set, Saturday. Folks took to the water at Black Pot on a perfect weekend afternoon. A surfer gets a clean ride as the waves were breaking nicely in the distance near Hanalei Pier.
