LIHU‘E — Friday night, the final eight teams vying for a Hawai‘i High School Athletic Association state title will be paired down to four, with those still alive playing for Division titles on Dec. 4 at Aloha Stadium.
The First Hawaiian Bank State Football Championships continue with Div. I and II semifinal matchups tomorrow, with No. 2-seeded Kaua‘i High School taking on Hawai‘i Preparatory Academy. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Vidinha Stadium.
General admission will be $7, with seniors (62+) and students (K-12) getting in for $5.
Those unable to attend the semifinal matchup can tune in to thegardenisland.com to see the live streaming feed from the press box as Anahola Joel calls the action. His play-by-play and commentary will also be live on KONG 570 AM.
The Div. I semifinal doubleheader, No. 1 Kahuku vs. Farrington and No. 2 Kamehameha vs. Leilehua, will be broadcast from Aloha Stadium on OC16. The Kahuku-Farrington matchup will kick off at 4 p.m. The Kamehameha-Leilehua game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
Starcomm Sports Radio will also broadcast the Div. I doubleheader on AM1080 and online at www.starcommsportsradio.com.
The Division I and II football championships doubleheader, scheduled for Dec. 4, will be shown live by Pay-Per-View only on channels 260 & 1260.
The Div. II championship game kicks off at 4:30 p.m., followed by the Div. I championship at 7:30 p.m. Neighbor island orders will be $14.95 prior to game day, while game day orders will be $24.95.
O‘ahu customers who order the game early will get the doubleheader for $29.95, while orders on the day of the games will be $49.95.
Customers who wish to watch the game live via the web will be charged $10.
