Raymond Pereza of Puhi died Dec. 18, 2009, at Garden Isle Health Care at age 86. He was born on May 20, 1923, in Kuiaha, Maui.
He is survived by his wife Sarah Tabar; sons Thomas (Caroline) of Lawa‘i, Eric (Dana) of Colorado, Miles (Gina) of Lihu‘e and James (Kahana) of Lihu‘e; daughters Blanche (Alan) Cofran of Kailua, O‘ahu, Louise Young of Kailua, O‘ahu, Melissa (Darrel) Shelton of Aiea, O‘ahu, and Laura MorTrud of Waimanalo, O‘ahu; 24 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brothers Teddy of Kona, Hawai‘i, Arnold of Kailua, O‘ahu, Sammy of Las Vegas, Nev., Santiago of Pearl City, O‘ahu; sisters Irene Rubin of Kailua, O‘ahu, and Audrey Lee of Hilo, Hawai‘i.
Visitation at 9 a.m., service at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kailua. Interment at the Valley of the Temple in Kaneohe.
Casual attire is suggested.

Michie Kinoshita of Kaneohe died Nov. 23, 2009, at age 79. Born in Kapa‘a, she was a retired housekeeper for Kaua‘i Surf.
She is survived by her son Albert (Linda) Kinoshita of Kaneohe; daughters Joyce (Shane) Naumu of Hanapepe and Karen (Christopher) Acoba of Hanapepe; brother Kenneth Konishi of Kapa‘a; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services will be on Kaua‘i.
Arrangements are being handled by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.
Dorothy Ann Yatsuoka
Dorothy Ann Yatsuoka of Hanama‘ulu died Dec. 26, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 64. She was born on Dec. 29, 1944.
She was preceded in death by her parents Nomi Carlos and Nora Dias, and her husband Naoto Yatsuoka.
She is survived by her companion Stanley Anahori of Hanama‘ulu; son Rick (Renette) Garma III of Hanama‘ulu; daughters Kathy (Kepa) McCarthy of Lihu‘e, Debbie “Tootie” (Edward) Batara of Hanama‘ulu and Stacie (Kaleo) Smith of Wailua; sister Lisa Garma of Wailua; brothers Norman (Lourdes) Carlos of Kapa‘a; Willy (Radic) Carlos of Wailua and Sal (Belle) Talha of California; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 9 a.m., services at 10:30 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at King’s Chapel in ‘Ele‘ele. Inurnment to follow at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Robert Thompson
Robert L. Thompson of Kapa‘a died Dec. 24, 2009, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 48. Born on April 17, 1961, in California, he was a mechanic.
He is survived by his wife Aida Thompson; children Zachary Thompson and Shanice Thompson; sisters Karen Thompson and Cheryl Van Horn; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 9 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 5, at St. Catherine’s Church.
