Mahalo to Roland Tacsiat for the lunch-to-go hot dogs (they taste really good right out of the oven!). Roland said his son Silas just came home Friday night and was already helping in the shop, Saturday morning. How many lunch-to-go places are there in Lihu‘e?
Was nice to run into Keiko Bonk of the Save Our Seals program during the shearwater meeting, Thursday. Keiko was on island distributing new copies of a monk seal brochure to Kaua‘i volunteers and dropped in to hear about the birds.
Hats off to Shayne Tokita and all those Easter Seals of Kaua‘i people on another successful Gingerbread Festival, Saturday. Ron Wiley was doing a great job integrating all the school choruses and the festival. Shayne (if you have your scissors on a ribbon, you can’t lose it) said they still have some gingerbread kits available for those who missed out.
Ron Sakoda discovered the unique Christmas ornament made great holiday presents, and Michael Patricio is trying to figure out how to make the canvas shopping bag into a toboggan.
Beth Tokioka was making sure everything was in order at the Gingerbread Festival before heading out to the Kaua‘i Coffee Company Open House.
OK, time to check out the food collection from Koloa School.
