PORT ALLEN — A Sunday night fire in a Port Allen warehouse bay leased by Mana Divers caused an estimated $250,000 in damages but no injuries, the Kaua‘i Fire Department announced Monday.
Twelve firefighters and rescue specialists from the Hanapepe, Kalaheo and Lihu‘e stations responded to the 7:30 p.m. alarm.
The fire was deemed under control at 8 p.m. and fully extinguished at 9:58 p.m., a county press release states.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, the release states.
According to a preliminary report, damage to the warehouse space and its contents is estimated at $250,000.
An adjoining bay sustained minor smoke damage and fire penetration.
