Happy birthday to Stacy Serquina who celebrated her special day with basketball!
Stacy’s birthday was Saturday and she was helping Michelle Lemy register young basketball players for the Jimmy Yagi clinic (Lisa Iida celebrated Stacy’s birthday by sleeping in) despite having KIF girls basketball, Friday night. And since there were no cakes at the Kapa‘a food booth, all Stacy could do was dream of cake at Saturday night’s basketball game.
Calvin Paleka is now recovering (we go back to Kapa‘a tonight!) after a full week of Kapa‘a hosting soccer and basketball.
Happy retirement to Jolynne Uyesono of the KCC Bookstore (although there was someone who really looked like her Monday) who retired with her husband. I guess between the iMac and the Las Vegas trips, there are lots of things to look forward to.
Earl Nishiguchi pointed out the nice panoramic picture taken of Koke‘e with the new Brian Yamamoto camera. Earl said he still sticks with film and do you know the price of Fuji Provia?
Looks like chef Martina Hilldorfer has a whole new crew of chefs for this semester. She was briefing them Monday along with chef Mark Oyama. The beef stew looked really good!
