Conrado Francisco
Conrado Mercado Francisco of Kaumakani died Jan. 22, 2010, at his residence at age 87. Born Feb. 25, 1922, in Laoag, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a retired mechanic with Olokele Sugar Company.
He was preceded in death by his parents Benito and Severina Francisco; and siblings Maria Alquiza, Marcelino Francisco, Anacleta Tagatac, Dolores Seguritan, Caridad Eichelberger and Milesia Francisco Quintana.
He is survived by his wife Sumile Goto Francisco; sons Millard Taylor Jr. of Covina, Calif., Steven Taylor of Mililani, Hawai‘i, and Dennis Francisco of Alaska; daughters Patricia Cabinte of Waipahu, Hawai‘i, Stephanie F. Verduga of Covina, Calif., and Caroline Nakamura of Waipahu, Hawai‘i; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother Juan Francisco of Hanapepe; sister Olivia Gubaton of Kaumakani; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 9 to 10 a.m., service from 10 to 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 30, at Garden Island Mortuary chapel.
Casual attire is suggested.

Harry Greenwood III
Harry Marshall Greenwood III of Kapa‘a died Jan. 23, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 75. Born on Dec. 8, 1934, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was a retired school teacher.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Kasadate, son Casey Greenwood Sr., two grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 11 a.m., services at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 1, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery Pavilion. Burial to follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Nancy Valente
Nancy Barbara Valente of Waimea died Jan. 25, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 73. Born Nov. 9, 1937 in Waimea, she was a groundskeeper with DynaElectron.
She was preceded in death by her husband George F. Valente Jr., parents Raymond and Mercy Pantorilla; daughter Darlene J. Balocan; brother Raymond Pantorilla Jr.; and sister Linda Reponte.
She is survived by son George S. Valente III (Lapule) of Waimea; daughters Valerie J. Tanigawa of Koloa, Apryle (Edward) Sarmiento of Kekaha, Lisa (Emong) Millare of Hanapepe and Tracy M. Valente of Hanapepe; 18 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters Emily Pareganog of San Diego, Calif., Dora Habagat of Koloa, Clara Tacub of Kekaha and Shirley Martin of Honolulu; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 6, at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Kekaha.
Casual attire is suggested.

Chuck Matsuwaki
Chuck Chiyuki Matsuwaki of Lihu‘e died Jan. 24, 2010, at his home at age 84. Born on Feb. 18, 1925, in Lawa‘i, he was a banker with First Hawaiian Bank.
He is survived by his wife Kay; son Dennis; brothers Masaru (Masuye) Matsuwaki of Kalaheo, Gary (Lillian) Matsuwaki of Honolulu and Alex Matsuwaki of Honolulu; sister Yoshie (Henry) Sato of Lawa‘i; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., service to follow, on Saturday, Feb. 6, at Lihu‘e Christian Church.
Casual attire is suggested and the family requests that flowers be omitted.

Lucille Verrill
Lucille M. Verrill of Po‘ipu died Jan. 13, 2010, at her home at age 89. Born on Dec. 7, 1920, in Illinois, she was a retired human resource manager in the technology industry.
She was preceded in death by her sister Muriel Murry.
She is survived by her sisters Faye Hohmann and Caryl (Warren) Munger; hanai daughters Jane (Richard) Mott Havice and Bev (Richard) Lavens.
