The Lihu‘e Baseball League is having registration for Mustang, Bronco and PONY from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the LBL office across from the Convention Hall.
Eligible players must have a birthdate between May 1, 1995 and April 30, 2002.
Registering players must have a birth certificate, insurance card and the registration fee.
Draft and team formation is Jan. 24.

Kapa‘a Pop Warner accepting coach applications
Head coach applications are currently being accepted by the Kapa‘a Pop Warner Association.
Positions include head coachers for both football and cheer programs, according to Akala Aiwohi, president of the Kapa‘a Pop Warner Association.
Applications are available at Pono Market, Popo’s Cookies and through the Kapa‘a Pop Warner Web site at www.kapaaeagles.com.
Completed applications and a copy of identification must be received by Jan. 27. Mail applications to KPWA, P.O. Box 605, Kapa‘a, HI 96746.
Notifications will be made within seven days following the deadline.

Charity softball tournament
Connie’s Fighters & Survivors will be holding its Annual Open Men’s Softball Tournament from March 12-14 at the Waimea Canyon School Park.
All proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society through Relay for Life.
The deadline to enter is March 1.

Paddlers invited to join Hanapepe club
A six-person outrigger paddling canoe club in Hanapepe is accepting new members for the 2010 season.
New and experienced paddlers are invited to join in practices from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Hanapepe River mouth.
This is a friendly group that welcomes anyone in the community. Don’t know how to paddle? You’ll be taught the art of canoe paddling while making friends and getting into shape.
