Harry Greenwood III
Harry Marshall Greenwood III of Kapa‘a died Jan. 23, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 75. Born on Dec. 8, 1934, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was a retired school teacher.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Kasadate, son Casey Greenwood Sr., two grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 11 a.m., services at 11:30 a.m., on Monday, Feb. 1, at Kaua‘i Veterans Cemetery Pavilion. Burial to follow.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary.
Eileen Lappert
Eileen Mary Lappert of Lawa‘i died Jan. 25, 2010, at her home at age 86. Born on Nov. 29, 1923, in London, England, she was a paralegal and an artist.
She is survived by her sons Michael Lappert; Patrick (Patrice) Lappert and Brendan Lappert; daughter Julie Lappert; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Private funeral Mass at Saint Raphael’s Catholic Church, Koloa.

Lucille Verrill
Lucille M. Verrill of Po‘ipu died Jan. 13, 2010, at her home at age 89. Born on Dec. 7, 1920, in Illinois, she was a retired human resource manager in the technology industry.
She was preceded in death by her sister Muriel Murry.
She is survived by her sisters Faye Hohmann and Caryl (Warren) Munger; hanai daughters Jane (Richard) Mott Havice and Bev (Richard) Lavens.
Private services to be held at a later date.

Albert Gouveia Sr.
Albert “Plaudy” Lawrence Gouveia Sr. of Hanama‘ulu died Jan. 25, 2010, at age 85. Born on Nov. 25, 1924, in Lihu‘e, he retired from Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation as a bulldozer operator.
He is survived by his wife and best friend Eva Gouveia of Hanama‘ulu; children Albert (Vonica) Gouveia Jr. of Oregon, Allison (David) Nobriga Jr. of Texas and Alvin Guava (Shari) Gouveia of New York; sister Julia Silva of Waipahu; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation at 8:30 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Immaculate Conception Church.
Casual attire is suggested.

Anacleto ‘Sonny’ Battad Jr.
Anacleto Ribuca “Sonny” Battad Jr. of Eugene, Ore., died Jan. 1, 2010, at age 75. Born on May 17, 1934, in Kaua‘i, he retired as a registered nurse in California.
He was preceded in death by his parents Anacleto R. Battad Sr. and Eleanor White Battad, and sister Marvel White Battad.
His is survived by his wife Hester; daughter Analani Battad of O‘ahu; son Anacleto R. “Poki” (Jade) Battad III of Kaua‘i; sisters Arlene Battad Kon and Angie Nora “Nani” Rogers both of Kaua‘i, and Maile Ann “Cookie” (James) Kaopuiki of Moloka‘i; brother Alwin R. L. “Chucky” (Odetta) Battad of Salt Lake City, Utah; maternal aunt Frances White Ohai; five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m., service to follow, on Feb. 6, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kapa‘a. He will be buried with his mother at the Kapa‘a County Cemetery per his request.
Tomiko Mitsui
Tomiko Mitsui of Kilauea died Jan. 17, 2010, at Garden Isle Health Care at age 89. Born on May 28, 1920, in Puhi, she was the proprietor of Mitsui Store.
She was preceded in death by her husband Iwao Mitsui; son Gary Mitsui; parents Kaichi and Takemi Kubota; brothers Hideto and Mamoru Kubota.
She is survived by her son Michael Mitsui of Kilauea; daughters Janice (Carl) Sumida of Hanama‘ulu and Diane (Clyde) Mitsui of Kaneohe; sisters Satomi Hadama of Po‘ipu, Kimie Sugimoto of Honolulu and sister-in-law Miyako Kubota of Honolulu; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services were held. Family requests no Koden.
