LAWA‘I — Kaua‘i police have identified the man whose body was found in a Lawa‘i residence Tuesday morning as Duane Bukoski, 38, of Lawa‘i.
The female victim, an acquaintance of Bukoski, remains tentatively identified and awaits verification, a county news release states.
Family members and New Hope Christian Fellowship Church members fear the deceased woman is Clara Kaneshiro of Kapa‘a, who had reportedly been missing since around 11 p.m. Monday and whose truck was found around 11 a.m. Tuesday.
The case has been classified as an apparent homicide-suicide. Police are continuing their investigation.
An autopsy will be scheduled.
