Pre-registration for the Youth Basketball Clinic will take place Saturday at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center from 8 a.m. until noon, or when all the spaces are filled, said Karen Matsumoto of the Kaua‘i Youth Basketball Association.
The clinic, sponsored by the KYBA and the county of Kaua‘i, will feature coach Dennis Agena of the Kalakaua Basketball Clinic.
Players with some basketball experience in grades 5 through 12 are welcome to participate for a registration fee of $20. Checks should be made out to K.Y.B.A.
The clinic, which sold-out on its previous tours through Kaua‘i, will be held March 15-17 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Kilauea Neighborhood Center. There will be a break for lunch between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. each day.
Participants need to bring a basketball, basketball shoes and proper attire, including shorts, T-shirt or tank top.
