WAILUA — The search for a 26-year-old Utah man who went missing Thursday during a group tour to Secret Falls resumed Saturday morning in Wailua Valley.
Rescue specialists from the Lihu‘e fire station along with state Department of Land and Natural Resources personnel and a canine team began searching for the visitor again at around 8 a.m. Saturday, a county news release states.
The search was set to continue until dusk.
The man was apparently behaving erratically during the tour and ran into the forest, an earlier news release states. Emergency dispatch was called and the Kaua‘i Fire Department initiated a search, which continued until dark Thursday.
The search continued Friday morning, also involving a helicopter to assist.
The release did not say which tour company.
