Andrew Ouderkirk, a 2009 graduate of Waimea High School, made his first start of the season pitching for the City College of San Francisco on April 30.
Ouderkirk came away with the victory, his first at the collegiate level, going five innings and giving up two earned runs on three hits while striking out four in a 15-5 win over Mission College.
Ouderkirk was used primarily out of the bullpen this season, making five appearances prior to his start in the regular-season finale. He finished the year 1-0 with a 5.54 ERA, striking out seven in 13.0 innings of work.
