Grace A. Nakamura of Lihu‘e died April 9, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 91. Born in Honolulu on Oct. 20, 1918, she was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband Shiro Nakamura.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra (Dennis) Fujimoto, and son Steve (Kathi) Nakamura; grandchildren Jodie Fujimoto, Bryan Fujimoto, Erin Nakamura, Lisa Nakamura and Lindsay Nakamura; brother Thomas Masaki; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private services were held.
Arrangements are being handled by Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
William Correia
William Correia of Kapa‘a died May 17, 2010, at his home at age 82. Born on Feb. 15, 1928, in Hawai‘i, he was a retired road maintenance worker with the State of Hawai‘i.
He is survived by his sons William (Jane) Correia Jr., Sterling (Douglas) Correia and Reginald (Shelley) Chun; companion Lisa Namuo; two grandchildren; sisters Agnes Cadinha, Sophie Soares and Geraldine Ferreira; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation from 9:30 a.m., Mass at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 25, at St. Catherine Church in Kapa‘a.

Rodolfo Bunao
Rodolfo “Rudy” Nicolas Bunao of Hanama‘ulu died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on May 17, 2010, at age 69. Born on Oct. 6, 1940, in Santa Ignacia, Tarlac, Philippines, he retired as an irrigation supervisor with Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation.
He was preceded in death by his father Tiburcio, and brothers Domingo and Sergio.
He is survived by his wife Aurora Bunao of Hanama‘ulu; mother Marcelina Bunao of Puhi; children Ely Bunao of Puhi, Arnold (Kim) Bunao of Lihu‘e, Joe (Shelby) Bunao of Hanama‘ulu, Yulie (Jay) Palenapa of Alabama, Cris (Kristy) Bunao of Wailua, Alice (Joshua) Pajela of Hanama‘ulu; sister Gloria (Teodorico) Gacusan of Puhi; 12 grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wake services from 5 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, May 25, at Kaua‘i Veterans Center.
Visitation at 9 a.m., services at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, May 26, at the Kaua‘i Veterans Center in Lihu‘e. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.

Albert James Soares Sr. of Puhi died May 20, 2010, at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital at age 79. Born in Kalaheo on Sept. 8, 1930, he retired as a self-employed contractor.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Antoinette Soares; parents Manuel and Shendrina; brothers Leroy, Wayne and Michael.
He is survived by his wife Marina Soares of Puhi; children Albert (Nicole) Soares Jr. of Lihu‘e, Gordon (Darlene) Soares Sr. of Kalaheo, Irene (Filipe) Tupou of Wailua, Cindy (Michael) Bandmann Sr. of Kapahi and Edward Soares Sr. of Kapa‘a; stepchildren Clarence (Joann) Sales of Puhi, Arnold Sales of Puhi, Mary Ann (Roger) Asuncion of Puhi and Mabelyn (Roland) Salcedo of Maui; sisters Bessie Hendricks of Kapa‘a, Barbara Ebinger of Wailua and Diane Latu of Tonga; brother Ralley Ebinger of California; sisters-in-law Justina Ruiz of Puhi and Gaudena (Domingo) Domincil of Honolulu; 20 grandchildren, six stepgrandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation at 8 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m., on Thursday, May 26, at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens.
