The Kaua‘i High School Foundation, founded in November 2008, will host its first annual fundraising golf tournament, June 19, at the Wailua Golf Course.
David Ishii, Kaua‘i High School Class of 1973 and the head professional at the Pearl Country Club in Honolulu, is the honorary chair for this tournament which will feature a shotgun start at 7 a.m.
Format for the tournament is a 3-person best ball and the tournament committee is now accepting registration for the tournament as well as sponsorships.

In a release from the foundation, more than 50 teams have already signed up for the field of 72 teams.
Gold and platinum sponsorship teams that have committed to date are listed on the foundation Web site.
The Kaua‘i High School foundation is established to serve the students of Kaua‘i High School, the first high school on the island. Kaua‘i High School opened on Sept. 14, 1914 and has grown to an enrollment of 1,217 students in grades 9 through 12.
Gary Yamamoto, Kaua‘i High School Class of 1960, is the foundation president.
