LIHU‘E — The Kaua‘i multi-use path has offered thousands of residents an option to exercise and socialize. But the path has also brought a lot of controversy to the community, involving dogs and sacred burials desecration.
Kaua‘i County Council members will revisit the path today, when the Parks and Transportation Committee considers a resolution authorizing the acquisition by eminent domain of portions of beachfront property in Waipouli.
The property will be part of the pedestrian and bike path that is intended to eventually link Anahola to Nawiliwili.
