LIHU‘E — In order to accommodate the ongoing construction on the Kuhio Highway bridges over the Wailua River, one driveway to the Wailua Beach parking area just north of the bridges will be closed for three weeks beginning Monday, states a press release.
A temporary driveway will be available about 50 feet south of the usual entrance.
Improvements to the driveway, located near the highway intersection with Kuamo‘o Road, will make it safer, the release states.
Bow Construction Management Service in the release said drivers should continue to exercise caution while driving through the Wailua cane haul bridge construction area and on entering and leaving the Wailua Beach parking area.
