August Kane
August Kawaikini Kane of Anahola died June 14, 2010, at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital at age 66. Born on June 6, 1944, in Lihu‘e, he was an electronic engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents August and Katherine Kane.
He is survived by his wife Mary Helen Kane; daughters Christine Kane and Malia Kane; son Sean Kane; sisters April Reis, Katherine Matsushima and Keala (Tony) Prem; brother Lowell (Jo Ann) Kane; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation from 5 to 6 p.m., service at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, June 22, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel. Scattering of ashes will be private.
Casual attire is requested.

Gloria Robles Agcaoili of Koloa died June 1, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 70. Born on June 28, 1939, in San Simon, Bacarra, Philippines, she was a vendor for Sunshine Market.
She was preceded in death by her husband Florencio Agcaoili; parents Tomas Sr. and Feliciana Robles; brothers Buenaflor Robles Sr. and Imperial Robles; brother-in-law Manuel Agcaoili and sister-in-law Rosalina Robles.
She is survived by her children Albert (Jayne) Agcaoili of Koloa, Noel (Jeanalyn) Agcaoili of Lihu‘e, Oliver Agcaoili of Koloa, James Agcaoili of Koloa, Filmer (Valerie) Agcaoili of Waimea and Denley (Ama) Agcaoili of Honolulu; four grandchildren; brothers Bienvenido Robles of Koloa and Tommy (Benelyn) Robles of Milpitas, Calif; sisters Erlinda Agcaoili of ‘Ele‘ele and Bonnie (Romulo) Balbin of Lihu‘e; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wake service from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, June 25, at Borthwick Kaua‘i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa. Visitation at 8 a.m., Mass to be celebrated by Father Edison Pamintuan at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 26, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Koloa. Burial to follow at Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens, Kapaia.

James Kaleinani “Uncle Jimmy” Puni of Kapa‘a died May 31, 2010, at Samuel Mahelona Hospital at age 70. Born on March 20, 1940, in Honolulu, he was a heavy equipment operator for F.T. Opperman.
He was preceded in death by Jamie Ann (Bradford) Pikini.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann Puni; son Bishop Frank (Lauri) Puni Sr.; daughters Alexie Ann Puni and Mary Ann (Mele) Puni; hanai son Juan Lopez; hanai daughters Druscilla (Tim) Summers, Paulette (Luther) Yam, Mary Ann (Semon) Francisco and Dayna Lee (Timothy) Santiago; brother Norman Puni; sisters Yvonne (Haunani) De Canto, Aloma (Hauoli) Puni and Ava (Pomai) Kridler; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 14 hanai grandchildren.
Visitation at 8:30 a.m., service from 10:30 to 11 a.m., on Thursday, June 24, at Kaua‘i Veterans Center. Private burial will be held.

Michael Tancayo Jr., of Kalama‘ula, Moloka‘i died June 10, 2010, at age 71. Born on July 6, 1938, he retired from the State of Hawai‘i Department of Health as Vector Control Inspector II.
He is survived by his wife Irene Chong Tancayo; daughters Georgiette Likopualehua, Allennie (Gordon) Nae‘ole, Wendi-Liz (Christopher) Tancayo-Mebille and Jossephine Tancayo; sons Robert Tancayo and Kegal-Joe (Michelle) Tancayo; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Henry (Patricia), Kegal (Kathy), Erman (Juliana), Allen, James (Hazel), Lance (Annette), Nathan (Sherry) and Robert Ka‘alele; sisters Pearl (Dennis) Kamakana and Helene (Bernard) Juario; hanai children Farewell (Joseph) Howe, Wade (Ruth) Maeda, Josephe (Rhoda) Chong and Erin Mikami; pe‘elua sisters Lorraine Higa, Hattie Silva, Kanani (Richard) Negrillo, Earline (William) Johnston and Leilani Wallace.

Pacita “Nani” Nievera Corpuz of Puhi died June 6, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 78. Born on February 1, 1932, in Santa Ana, Manila, Philippines, she retired as a field worker with Lihu‘e Sugar Plantation.
She was preceded in death by her husband Simplicio Corpuz; stepson George Corpuz; sisters Milagros Robles and Conchita Nievera; brothers Salvador Nievera and Alfredo Nievera.
She is survived by her children Edita “Didi” (John) Lung of Las Vegas, Nev., Calvin (Liberty) Corpuz of Puhi, Emeline “Rose” (Calvin) Lalin of Wailua Homesteads, Evelyn (Donald) Gonsalves of Lihu‘e and Julie (Michael) Broyles of Hanapepe; stepchildren Jay (Bennie) Dela Cruz of Seal Beach, Calif., Josephine (Tony) Gerardo of O‘ahu, Larry (Estrella) Corpuz of Castle Rock, Colo., and Peter (Marjie) Corpuz of Sequoia, Calif.; sisters Cecilia (Jr.) Anchoris and Remidios (Roger) Remenente; brother Romi (Rose) Nievera all of Alberta, Canada; 30 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
