LIHU‘E — Dave Parmenter took first place overall at the Namolokama O Hanalei 10th Annual Long-Distance One-Man Surf Ski and Stand-Up Paddle Race, held on Sunday.
Parmenter completed the course in 1 hour, 2 minutes and 6 seconds, having entered the SUP Men Open division. He was follwed by Kalani Vierra in second (1:03:27) and Kawika Carvalho in third (1:05:15).
Wes DaSilva was first in the Surf Ski Men Open division, crossing the finish in 1:06:56. Bernard Matsumoto took second (1:14:32) in the same category.
The OC1 Men Open division was won by Mark Frazier on a time of 1:08:44. He was followed in the rankings by Makana Denton (1:09:41) and Tyrus Siale (1:10:16) completing the top three. Jody Simpson (1:11:43), Keoni Miyake (1:13:57), AJ Irons (1:14:24), Aaron Labuguen (1:15:00), John Emmel (1:15:15), Jim McCullough (1:15:32) and Pablo Herrera (1:16:48) rounded out the OC1 Men.
It was Steve Cole grabbing first place in the OC1 Men 50s division on a time of 1:12:27, as Kenny Denton was second (1:13:16).
Kawika Goodale won the OC1 Men 60s division with a time of 1:13:03, followed by Lucky Hookano (1:16:47).
Arlen Williamson won the OC1 Men 40s division with a time of 1:14:13.
The OC1 Women Open division crown went to Alana Frazier (1:15:45), who just edged out second place Kristin Foster (1:15:56).
