Randall Francisco, president of the Kaua‘i Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled with the two interns at his office.
Braxton Parongao (Carol Texeira said he is related to Lianne Parongao of the Kaua‘i County Council Services office) and Randy Umetsu (his mom Donna is a great Waimea High School tennis asset) were greeting guests during the chamber’s Business After Hours event Wednesday.
But they were not the only interns, as Leadership Kaua‘i interns Asia Spencer and Angela Mones (her dad does kendo with sensei Elton Ushio) were busy distributing Obsession goodies (anyone try the fudge?).
Hats off to Cliff Ogata, Ikaika Rawlins and Michael Oh on hosting a great event! The fire dances by Rita Manderfeld and Paul Morimoto were especially impressive, and Paul even steered a couple of visitors to the Lu‘au Kalamaku where he performs when he’s not doing Children of the Land things.
And the brightest spot was seeing Julia Hall of the Kaua‘i chapter of the American Red Cross back in action. Unfortunately, Julia said she won’t be riding in Sunday’s Harley Owners Group “Ride for Red,” but will be there to see the riders off.
