LIHU‘E — One of the two northbound lanes of Kuhio Highway at its intersection with Kuamo‘o Road will close from 9 p.m. today to 5 a.m. Wednesday, a press release states.
During that time, workers will perform foundation work for a new traffic signal pole, states the release from Bow Construction Management Service.
The work is related to the Wailua cane haul bridge widening project.
When completed, the new cane haul bridge will consist of two northbound lanes and a bike-path lane.
The existing highway bridge over Wailua River will become two southbound lanes when work is completed, states the release.
The scheduled completion date is early 2011.
