LIHU‘E — Grandmaster Hong of the Lihu‘e Qi Center is offering a humanitarian event to boost the immunity at the “Uplifting the Immune System Day” from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the center in Lihu‘e.
“We will be employing natural-healing techniques that can effectively improve the human body’s immunity function,” states Hong in a press release.
There are only a few specially-chosen days in the year when this healing method may be used. Its timing is synchronized with specific natural rhythms of the universe, earth and personal energy. The sun, earth and moon will be in alignment this day and Hong balances this special energy along with herbal patches, easy lung exercises and natural foods to enhance the immune system.
Kaua‘i is one of two places in the country where this humanitarian service is being offered to the community. The nonprofit Qi Center near Isenberg Park welcomes all to attend this seventh annual event co-sponsored by the University of Hawai‘i.
Hong has reached the highest attainable level in qi gong, and has over 35 years of experience in self-healing, martial arts, herbology and spiritual practices.
Trained in China as a physician in Western medicine, he is a distinguished professor at Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, Calif. In Hawai‘i, he is an appointed professor of complimentary healing at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawai‘i at Manoa, and has been designated a Living Treasure by the state Legislature.
There is no charge for this event. To register call 245-7002 or e-mail Qi@hawaii.rr.com.
