Kudos to Billy Brown, coach of Swim Kaua‘i Aquatics and Kaua‘i Water Polo, on a great “SummerSplash” event, Friday, where students and adults got to play water polo at the YMCA pool.
These were regulation games with coach Billy doing all the setups and everything, said Tom Tannery, who said he’ll stick with diving.
Mahalo, too, to coaches Bobby Kamakele and Pedro Saligumba for having the Kaulupono Krispy Kreme doughnut fundraiser so the girls (and circulation) could enjoy a Friday treat. China Yasay found out that it’s much harder to sell doughnuts than play basketball, but Nicole Palacio and Jenaiah Banasihan already knew the ropes about how to sell the treats.
More mahalo, this time to Chris Jordan and the crew of OZone for the nice shirt that was in the box held by Sharon Gibson! For those who never checked out the Nawiliwili Yacht Club races, the last two series have gone to the wire, and the next one starting Aug. 12 should be no exception.
Kalena “Boom” Rodero-Workman and Taran “Tiger” Tani were at the races, Thursday, getting in some final moments of Kaua‘i lifestyle before heading to college. Before Taran leaves, find out how he catches all those fish using a hand line.
