PUHI — A 22-year-old Las Vegas woman died Monday morning in a two-car crash just west of the Anonui Road and Kaumuali‘i Highway junction, county officials said.
Jesselina Kee was in a white Saturn heading east on Kaumuali‘i Highway at around 9:45 a.m. when she crossed the centerline and crashed into a westbound Honda Element, according to a preliminary report.
The woman died at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, an 80-year-old Koloa man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, county officials said.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Traffic along Kaumuali‘i Highway in the Puhi area was re-directed to Hulemalu Road. The highway reopened around noon, a county release states.
