Stu Burley took advantage of the first day of class at Kaua‘i Community College to try and lock in some “traineeships” for the robotics club he organized through the Technology Dept.
Jade Cano was getting excited about first day while helping at the Blast from the Past! event with the Waimea High School booth. She’s majoring in Nursing along with Veronica Pablo, who dropped in the the Mahelona Hospital bon dance Thursday.
Josie Pablo is wrapping up the summer with a final beach outing with the Okinawa College of Nursing students and then it’s time for the annual trek to the farm fair, Thursday.
Pat Viernes was cruising the mall at lunch, thrilled that all six Hawai‘i Hershey’s track and field athletes placed in the top six for their events. Kaua‘i’s athlete won a second place in the softball throw, and Pat said a Big Island athlete won a gold, the only one by a Hawai‘i athlete. Everybody else placed with the lowest being a sixth place. Congratulations to all!
OK, time to get ready for the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau fair that opens tomorrow (and Friday is a Furlough Friday)!
