Kaua‘i Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. had time to go home and shower and change between the Kaua‘i Grown Chef Cookoff for Charity (congrats to Chef Matt Dela Cruz of Roy’s!) and the 4-H Livestock Auction, Saturday. Hats off to Andy

Hats off to Andy Melamed, Melissa McFerrin and all the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau people on a great event. Kelvin Moniz of the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank was there and Marty Amaro of Kaua‘i Coffee was juggling between the gourmet cuisine and the Open Judging.
Connie Clausen was totally thrilled the event was a Zero Waste event, and Roy Oyama said everything tasted good.
Gerald Ako and Pauline Ibia (she’s got Peter Rayno and Ernie Domingo to help with the Walmart aid station at the Kaua‘i Marathon!) had to figure out which color shirts to where and when to wear them.
OK, time to head west and check out Randall Francisco (he said the ahi poke lettuce wraps by Chef Kahau Manu was really good!) at the political debate at the Waimea Theater (hmm, do we have time for Aunty Lilikoi?).
