Mokihana Aquatics will be hosting its annual Fun Meet 2010 starting with the opening ceremonies, Saturday at the Kaua‘i High School Pool.
The public is invited to view the competition when eight swim teams from around the state and the Mainland take to the water, Saturday and Sunday. There is no admission fee to view the competition.
Coach Orlando “O” Anaya of Mokihana Aquatics said as of the final schedule done Thursday, there are two Mainland swim clubs, one from the Big Island, one from Maui and three from O‘ahu that will join host Mokihana Aquatics in the annual competition.
Swimmers range from 6 years and younger to 18 years old and will compete on both Saturday and Sunday.
The annual Fun Meet serves as a major fundraiser for the Mokihana Aquatics swim program.
