LIHU‘E — The Rotary Clubs of Kaua‘i are seeking nominations from the community for the 2010 Humanitarian Awards, a news release states. Deadline to submit the nomination form and essay is Oct. 15.
Nominations can be made for individuals doing an outstanding job in the categories of Homeless Care Worker, Water Safety Officer, Firefighter, Social Worker, Police Officer and Healthcare Worker.
Nomination forms can be obtained from any Rotary club member or by contacting Mary Navarro at 346-6784 or at mary.navarro@catholiccharitieshawaii.org.
Please complete your nomination form and write a short 250 word essay stating why you believe this person should be chosen for this vocational award, the release states.
The essay can be typed or handwritten, but must be legible.
Mail your nomination form and essay to Rotary Vocational Awards, Rotary Club of Kalepa Sunrise, PO Box 1816, Lihu‘e, HI 96766 or give your entry to a member of any Rotary Club on Kaua‘i.
