LIHU‘E — New Wave Nutrition on Kuhio Highway next to Subway in Lihu‘e opened its doors Thursday with a soft opening for family and close friends, a press release states.
The local nutrition club bills itself as offering “fast food for smart people — a Starbucks of nutrition.”
Additionally, under the leadership of owner and operator Bryan Uohara, an independent Herbalife vitamin and supplement distributor, New Wave Nutrition offers personal wellness coaching and targeted cellular nutrition and weight-management solutions.
New Wave Nutrition offers body analysis with its Shapescan machine, designed to reveal personal numbers that can be used to tailor specific regimens and routines for optimal results, the release states.
It is also home of weight-loss challenge and nutrition classes, offering participants a chance to earn cash for getting healthy as well as education to help stay that way.
The entry fee of $39 includes a 10-week class and personal coach, with entry fees awarded to weight-loss challenge winners.
The new outlet is open 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and other hours by appointment.
First visits are always free with scheduled wellness evaluations.
