Hats off to Sean Magoun and the Island School crew for doing such a great job with the 32 bays in its riflery range. Waimea coach Victor Aguilar is already looking ahead to next week when the Menehune get to shoot in the Hanapepe Armory, which was unavailable last year due to renovation work.
Coach Kaipo Kealalio was on hand to make sure the graders were doing their work, and kudos to Gregg Gonsalves and coach Kaipo for the great job in getting the gyms ready for volleyball which opened Tuesday night.
Brenda Turville had her Showtime Characters on the mall for Toddler Thursday (lots of keiki there) and, unfortunately, Jonell Kaohelauli‘i wasn’t in her office. But Stel Pimental (she was checking out the market hog show at the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau Fair) said Showtime Characters will continue to visit the Toddler Thursday program.
OK, time to go check out cross country in Waimea. Patrick McClean of the West Kaua‘i Main Street program said they will have a car show in Waimea to coincide with the drag races, and gotta check in with Mel Rapozo and Paul Pancho of the Kaua‘i Pop Warner Football League which opens its season at Hanapepe Stadium.
