HANALEI — The HI-5 bottle redemption center located next to The Community Center in Hanalei has closed its doors due to the facility’s owner consolidating its North Shore services, a county news release states.
The last day of operation at the Hanalei HI-5 center was Tuesday.
Kaua‘i Community Recycling Services will be running its North Shore operation out of its Kilauea facility, which is located at the former Guava Kai Plantation and is presently occupied by Malama Kaua‘i/Common Ground, the release states.
Normal hours of operation at the Kilauea HI-5 center are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
