HANAMA‘ULU — Two motorists sustained minor injuries during a two-car crash Tuesday night at the Kapule-Kuhio Highway junction in Hanama‘ulu, a county news release states.
A 52-year-old Kapa‘a woman and 58-year-old Kapa‘a man were taken to Wilcox Memorial Hospital via ambulance. Their current status was unknown Wednesday evening, the release states.
There were no passengers in either vehicle.
The Kapa‘a woman was travelling south in a Dodge pick-up truck on Kuhio Highway at around 9:40 p.m. when she collided with the Kapa‘a man in a Ford pick-up truck at the Kapule-Kuhio Highway junction, according to a preliminary report. The Hanama‘ulu-bound man was turning left onto Kuhio Highway from Kapule Highway when the crash occurred. The Ford truck overturned upon impact.
