If you were ever in a marching band, or wanted to be in one, then come to the Oct. 24 meeting from 2 p.m. at the Kato Gym at Kalaheo School, said Marty Leonard, president of Live Music Kaua‘i.
“The All-Kaua‘i Alumni Band is forming, now,” he said in an e-mail. “This band is for anyone who participated in any school band, anywhere, not just on Kaua‘i, and would like to re-live that experience.”
Leonard said band registration fee is $20, and members will receive a T-shirt the will be worn when the band makes its debut in the Lights on Rice parade, Dec. 3 in Lihu‘e.
“If you want to march with us, we will help find an instrument for you,” Leonard said.
“The focus of our band is fun! We will be having only four rehearsals, learning easy holiday songs, so this is not a huge commitment. This will be a fun time to remember some of the fun times of our youth.”
Registration will help to plan instrumentation. Visit www.LiveMusicKauai.org. for more information.
