KUKUI‘ULA — Reservations for the Merriman’s Kaua‘i dinner on Monday are currently being taken by calling 742-8385.
Merriman’s Kaua‘i, located in the Kukui‘ula Village, is celebrating its one-year anniversary of serving locally grown, handcrafted food on the island by donating 100 percent of the net proceeds from a special dinner, Monday starting at 5:30 p.m.
Chefs at Merriman’s Kaua‘i have created an elegant, four-course meal made with 90 percent locally grown ingredients with wine pairings for each course, states a release from the Kaua‘i United Way.
Cost for this dining experience is $75 with seating limited to 100 people.
Proceeds from this event will be added to the 2010 Kaua‘i United Way annual campaign, which is currently underway.
Kaua‘i United Way, the island’s umbrella charitable organization, supports dozens of social-service programs that save lives and helps tens of thousands of Kaua‘i people each year, making life on Kaua‘i better for everyone.
Money raised on Kaua‘i stays on Kaua‘i, said Scott Giarman, Kaua‘i United Way executive director.
