Kikue Hashimoto
Kikue Ogoshi Hashimoto of ‘Oma‘o died Oct. 9, 2010, at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home at age 92. She was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Makaweli.
She is survived by son Clifton (Sharon) Hashimoto; daughters Katherine (Nelson Sr.) Cayetano, Edith Sakai; grandchildren Sydette (Mark) Hamasaki, Nelson Cayetano Jr., Sean (Pauline) Sakai, Kimberly Cayetano; great-grandchildren Shana Oshima, Sharla Dela Cruz, Shantell Sakai, Justin Hamasaki, Sheldon Sakai, Gabriel Uemura-Cayetano, great-great-grandchild Sianni Sakai; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Garden Island Mortuary assisted the family with arrangements.
Private services were held.
Jiro Yokoyama
Jiro Yokoyama of Pearl City died at Pali Momi Hospital on Oct. 12, 2010 at the age of 95. Born on June 14, 1915, in Kekaha, he was a truck driver for Kekaha Sugar Company.
He is survived by sons Paul (Janet) Yokoyama, Robin (Sharon) Yokoyama and Kerry (Lillian) Yokoyama; daughter Arleen Higa; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, at Friendship Bible Church located at 91-1130 Renton Rd. in ‘Ewa, O‘ahu.
The family requests casual attire and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Nu‘uanu Memorial Park and Mortuary.
Ofelia Erese
Ofelia Erese of Lihu‘e died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Oct. 15, 2010 at the age of 60. She was born on Jan. 2, 1950, in Barangay Esperanza Vintar, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, and was a laborer for ITC Water Management.
She was preceded in death by parents Pedro and Felomina Acoba, sister Edita Acoba and husband Jorge Erese.
She is survived by son James Erese; companion and caregiver Clyde Silva; stepchildren Jalene (Ernest) Ramelb, Janel (Kelvin) Moniz, Stacey (Stephanie) Erese, George Jason (Taryn) Erese and Theresa (Esmer) Tomacder; sisters-in-law Gracia (Tino) Vita, Amparo (Dencio) Feliciano, and Adoration Erese of the Philippines; brother-in-law Jose (Catalina) Erese; half-sister Caridad Ariola of the Philippines; grandchildren Erika, Tiffany and Michael Ramelb; Kylie, Sheldon and Jaylen Moniz; Bryston and Alan Erese; and Eldon and Taylen Tomacder.
Services will be on Saturday Oct. 23, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Church. Viewing is at 9 a.m. with Mass to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will be at the Lihu‘e Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested by the family.
