Howard Yokotake Sr.
Howard Tadashi Yokotake Sr. of Hanalei died at home on Oct. 22, 2010, at age 79. Born in Honolulu, Hawai‘i on Jan. 28, 1931, he retired from Sheraton Kaua‘i Resort in the accounting department.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Yokotake; son Howard Yokotake Jr.; and step-son Sonny Ching.
He is survived by his wife, Charming Yokotake; four children, Naomi Yokotake, Leslie “Leggs” (Sherri) Yokotake, Ruth (Douglas) Chang, Roswell (Vicky) Yokotake; step-daughter, Charm (Robert) Mizushima; sister, Marion (Edwin) Nakano; brother, David (Clara) Yokotake; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Wai‘oli Hui‘ia Church in Hanalei with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 11 a.m. Pa‘ina to follow.
Kaua‘i Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Yokotake family with arrangements.
Patrick Nagao
Patrick Nagao of Wailua died at home on Oct. 25, 2010, at age 67. Born in Kealia, Kaua‘i, on May 26, 1943, he retired from the Carpenters Union and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Nagao, and parents, Hideo and Lillian Nagao.
He is survived by two sons, Rodney (Rhonda) Nagao of Honolulu, Eric Nagao of Wailua; one daughter, Patricia (Andy) Chong of Wailua; six grandchildren, Lauren Nagao, Haley Nagao, Aron Nagao, Brandon Chong, Davin Chong, Kimi Chong; three brothers, Stanley (Shirley) Nagao, Allan Nagao, Brian (Laura) Nagao; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, Dec. 5, at Niumalu Park at noon with luncheon to follow.

Solomon Ibaniez
Solomon Ibaniez of Koloa died Nov. 8, 2010, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on Sept. 8, 1935, he was an irrigator for McBryde Sugar.
He was preceded in death by parents Pedro and Kit Ibaniez.
He is survived by brothers Absalon “Bobo” Ibaniez and Peter Ibaniez; sisters Hazel Bukoski, Gloria Balbin, Agar Parraga and Helen Benedicto; one niece and numerous nephews.
A memorial service is set for Saturday Nov. 20, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Koloa; visitation at 9 a.m., Mass at 10 a.m.
Family request casual attire.

Mitsue Yamakawa
Mitsue Yamakawa of Koloa died Nov. 11, 2010, at her home at age 84. Born on Oct. 3, 1926, in Waimea, Kaua‘i, she was a housekeeper with Kaua‘i Sheraton.
She is survived by husband Shime Yamakawa of Koloa; daughters Lynn (Vernon) Fu of Koloa, Annette (Dave) Printers-Harris of Honolulu and Lorene (Claude) Yoshimura-Tanigawa of Honolulu; son Rodney (Janice) Yamakawa of Honolulu; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; five step great-grandchildren; sisters Kikue Kusatani of Honolulu and Alice Yoshimori of Koloa.
Friends may visit with the family from 9 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27, at the Garden Island Mortuary chapel; service at 10 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
