Hats off to Bill Honjiyo and Ed Kawamura on a great week honoring our veterans!
Capt. Nicholas Mongillo was a key player in the celebration, turning the Hanapepe Kaua‘i Veteran’s Cemetery pavilion “white,” as Bill described it. Jay Pugh had been everywhere, including the Veterans Day parade last week, and Thursday, even Tom Clements came out.

Alan Yamamoto and Glen Taba were the perennial Boy Scout Troop 83 leaders, still under the same tree, but taking time to remember how many families grew up at the veterans cemetery.
Gail Oride’s was one of them, and made it to help with the flags before attending Kelli’s signing of her letter of intent to play golf at Notre Dame — congratulations!
OK, time to check out coach Derek Borrero and the Red Raiders against the Kalaheo Mustangs!
