Condolences and sympathy to the Andy Irons ‘ohana on the loss of a budding young man. But in the loss, kudos to everyone for stepping forward and demonstrating the aloha Kaua‘i has rooted deep within each person’s heart.
Eddie Abubo worked with Jodi Wilmott, the media coordinator, to clear Thomas Radley and his Production Thorafilm crew, Phillip and Chris, to be able to film the event as part of a documentary the German firm is doing on Kaua‘i.
Lt. Mark Scribner had his 15-year-old bicycle on duty taking care of traffic, and hats off to the Rotary Club of Hanalei Bay on being everywhere, doing everything!

Lt. Kaleo Perez and Trent Shimabukuro (he had game, Saturday) were out patrolling in the KPD utility vehicle, and Kalani Vierra (he ran the Old Koloa Sugar Mill Run, Saturday) of the Ocean Safety Bureau was also on duty, but part of the big paddle-out.
Kaua‘i High Homecoming Queen Shealynna Ringor and Miss Victory Dayna Agustin got to Hanalei at 4 a.m. and spent the time catching up on sleep in the back of their pickup camper.
