Moloa‘a Sunrise Fruit Stand’s “Purple Passion” looks and tastes awesome, besides giving you a health boost. It’s a sweet drink, but has no sugar in it. The natural sweeteners in the carrots lend the sweetness to the drink. Actually, none of the drinks made there have any sugar or sweetener.
Shana Mundon-Dasalia, also known as “Ms. Aloha,” is always lending her sweetness to customers through her constant smile.
Shana used to play soccer a lot as a child, and still loves the sport. She can’t wait for her two children to be old enough to play, so she can officially become a soccer mom.
Manager Eliseo Varela loves to create things using food. But like any other Mexican, he also loves soccer.
Eliseo is an avid dancer too. He moved to the U.S. as a child, so it was in New York, home to a large Latino community, that he learned how to dance salsa, bachata, merengue and cumbia.
The Moloa‘a Sunrise Fruit Stand opens Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. On Sundays it’s open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The place serves breakfast and lunch, too.
