Activity resumes at Nawiliwili Harbor Friday morning following heavy overnight rains. The harbor waters are brown from runoff from the Hule‘ia Stream and the state Department of Health Clean Water Branch issued a brown-water advisory because of the heavy rains, advising the public to stay out of flood waters and storm water runoff due to possible overflowing cesspools, pesticides, animal fecal matter, dead animals, chemicals and associated flood debris, some of which are seen floating near the Young Brothers barge. If coastal waters are turbid and brown, stay out, states the advisory issued Thursday afternoon.
