Mahalo to Chuck and Kalli Malley for the special delivery fudge for the holidays, and the Lappert’s coffee was perfect for Christmas Day brewing — goes well with the CAK craft fair cookies. Mahalo to the Starbucks crew for the Christmas Eve drink (I wonder if the parade is still on Ho‘ike).
Brian Curl was wondering if the Santa arrival at Kalapaki is considered a visitor thing, but based on the crowd, it certainly did not lack in numbers. Chris Kauwe (anyone got a monkeypod grove so he can start on the Monkeypod Jam project?) had his special underwater camera equipped with a stick to get above the crowd, and even if Santa isn’t there anymore, check out the sand artistry of Jeff Haigh from Auburn, Calif., who should be doing some sand near the washout until New Year’s.
Mahalo to Nora Villanueva for the reminder about the Jose Rizal service. Nora said she had to go since her husband helped build the monument at the Historic County Building.
